The college's press-cutting archive, part of DnyanSetu — a Pinterest-style public archive where anyone can browse, open a cutting full-screen and download it without signing in, while admins upload and sort them into collections.

What it does
A public, Pinterest-style archive: anyone can browse, open a cutting full-screen and download it without signing in. Admins upload scans, set the date each story ran and sort them into collections.
- 445
- cuttings archived (Oct 2026)
Key features
- Masonry browsing, no sign-in
- Full-screen view and download
- Admin uploads and collections
- Signed browser-to-Cloudinary uploads
- Firestore rules: public read, admin write
How it works
- 01
Reading is the default: the archive is fully public and needs no account, because an archive nobody can open is not an archive.
- 02
Administrators sign in separately to upload cuttings, set the date each story ran in the paper, and tag them into collections — Shivjayanti, Sports, Events — without ever moving or duplicating a cutting.
- 03
Scans upload straight from the browser to Cloudinary through server-signed requests, so large images never pass through a serverless function.
- 04
One set of components serves both the public feed and the admin area; a read-only switch hides the controls visitors shouldn't see.
- Next.js
- Firebase Auth
- Firestore
- Cloudinary signed uploads
- Tailwind
